I remembered that this is not my first time to be a volunteer for kids. This event was held at Tuklasan center last April 20, 2014 where I had a chance to help, to learn, share my talent and get to know new people esp. kids. So at first we paired with a kid and the rules is who saw their partner first will get a prize so i got my girl first who is "Yeyey" (yes, that is her name) and eventually Sir Harvard asked me to give some dance for the kids which is a prize to everyone I think, and I can't resist cause dancing for me is already a gift/priceless and another thing is to share what i can give is what im loving to do (I hope that they enjoyed it). After getting to know each other, we got a chance to hear and learned the step by step process on how to make chocolate crinkles and Pinoy version of the fruit salad. And also Chef Kittin Constantino is our teacher for the event. She makes sure that everyone is having fun from her sessions also had learned a lot from baking and making fruit salad. Learning these stuff is one of my achievements in life, Im thankful that SoFA is the reason behind this.
After a long time for baking crinkles and making fruit salad with the kids and fellow volunteers we also played some games which is dancing is also involved. Then yes we had merienda and gift giving at the end of the event and also i remembered that there's a birthday greetings for one of the volunteers that day. For me, giving my time to these kids is so worth it cause this is one way to help other people and already give one color to their rainbow! I would love to do this again if I had a chance to. FUN DAY IT IS!!!!!!!!
